Who is Doug Anderson?
Doug Anderson has extensive experience in finance, operations, leadership, and public service. He is a proven servant leader with over 40 years of financial and senior leadership experience in for-profit, non-profit and government organizations. He is an experienced communicator, engaging facilitator, and passionate about servant leadership and infusing values into the culture of our communities and work places.
Doug is Mayor Emeritus of Lakeville, MN; serving the city for 13 years on the financial advisory committee, city council, and two terms as mayor. He also served for three years as the co-chair of the Regional Council of Mayors.
Vocationally, Doug retired in 2019 after serving as chief operating officer at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. Prior to that he served for twelve years at Hamline University as Senior Vice President of Finance. His background also includes serving as principal consultant for Alta Business Consulting, president of Mains’l Services, Inc., ten years as chief financial officer of Lutheran Social Service of MN, and senior accountant for Deloitte. Doug is a CPA (retired), and earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota Duluth and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
Doug is active in the community as a member of the Lakeville Chamber and Rotary club, and has served on many boards over the years including Hosanna Church, Friends of the Boundary Waters, Ingham-Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp, and Lakeview Bank.
He and his wife Deb have been married 44 years, serve as pre-marriage mentors, and are active outdoors - enjoying biking, hiking, camping, skiing, and traveling. He loves to read and aspires to be an author.
Doug is a long term resident of Lakeville, MN with his wife Deb. They have two adult children, Bryan and Calista, married to Guido, with grandson Alex.
